Trip in South Korea (next) :

7th Day (14th August 2012):

This morning my little sister and me decided to go to do some shopping that was missing on our list : So we went to Myeongdong and bought some makeup and skincare product and went back to the hotel room to put our stuff.

Then we went to Insadong to visit the district and to go to Ssamzigil one of the oldest mall in Seoul wich is now a big mall for traditional hand made art, big galleries and shops.

Then we took again the city tour bus to "rest" a little bit.

Because it was 12 or 13 we went to Itaewon, the district where all the foreign shop and restaurent are. It's THE foreigner district. We ate at a kind of subway and it was dirty and disgusting ! OMG the first time I ate something disgusting in my whole trip. We wanted to buy some shoes but unfortunatly my shoe size is too big for South Korea I'm 255 (wich is 40 in the European size) and the biggest one was 250 (like 39 in the European size) I know I have big feet ! ^^ But we found some awesome and cute little bolls for the rice in an independant creator and they were handmade OH YEAH ! ^^ LOL 

And then we came back to our hotel with big enormous and heavy bags. We went to Hongdae to find a karaoke because we absolutly wanted to go to play there ! :) But this is where our long night starts... I actually saw a place where there was written noraebang (노래방) but I didn't know it was this place especially that we were looking for so we continued to walk and got lost. We were hungry and found a Subway with cute girls who could speak in english and told us how to go there. When we finally found it it was like 11PM. But we decided to still play and had a lot of fun ! ^^  When we were done having fun we had the last train to go back to our hotel and slept with awesome musics in our head ^^

Trip in South Korea (next) :

6th Day (13th August 2012) :
We decided to visit the biggest palace in Seoul and the most known as well. We got down at Anguk station (안국역) because we wanted to know and to see the main street of Seoul. We walked until we got there. Then because it was sunny that day, when we entered the palace we were litterally blinded because the ground was only made of sand and reflected the sun ! So make sure to carry an umbrella or some sunglasses during really sunny days ;).
But as we were buying our tickets to enter the palace we started to see a black smoke rosing up in the sky. But because nobody was taking care of it we, as well, didn't took care of it. We entered the palace and even if it was monday the place was crowded by tons of korean people !
But the smoke started to get darker and thicker and it started to invade the palace ! So they started to evacuate the palace because it was unbreathable. In fact it was a building in fire right next to the palace. The firemen, the emergency departement, the police and even the television went there. So we waited outside far away from the palace !

But when everything was clear we started to visit the palace even tough it was still a little bit smelly ! We saw the changing of the guard it was really beautiful and we saw the whole palace ! It's huge but it's worth it :)

Then when we were finally done visiting 경복궁 the palace we went to the main street and decided to have a little bit of lunch. Because there were a lot of "paris baguette", "french croissant" "tous les jours" etc... we went to "Paris croissant" and ate good pasteries ^^ and the service was really great !

The most and main place in Seoul ! Where every drama take place (when you see the scenes where they play with water). The king Sejong (세종 ) who created the korean alphabet : hangeul (한글)

Don't know if you can see but it is actually written "Paris Croissant" (still on the wrong side, I know !  Sorry guys :/)

As we were eating we decided that our next stop would be at Apkujeong (압구정) and Gangnam (강남). Because it's really famous for the fashion brands and it's the "hype district" ^^. As you may know the song "Gangnam style" was filmed there as well :)

So we got down at the apkujeong station and started to walk and to look at the shops. Here some pictures for you :

Then as we were walking in Apkujeong we went to Gangnam (강남)  walked through the big streets ! The shop were amazing with awesome decorations and you know what ? It's the district where all the hipsters and celebrities live and do they're shopping usually :D so we saw a lot of big cars that the kpop stars own but not them :( maybe they were inside ! :)

Because we were tired and hungry we decided to go to the nearest metro station. But as we were walking we saw a Baskin Robbins and decided to take our "dinner" there ^^ You know when the temperature is really hot you're not hungry so we didn't ate that much. But I gotta  say The ice cream at Baskin Robbins are delicious !

Trip in South Korea (next) :

5th Day (12th august 2012) :

From now on I am not going to mention that we of course ate our usual breakfast at our super cool hotel ! Because this part is obviously always the same ! ^^

It was sunday and we didn't want to take the risk to see all the places we wanted to go closed so we decided to go to the Seoul national park in the mountains wich was called Bukhansan  (북한산).

If you wanna go there by yourself it is kind of hard. Or maybe because we didn't know where to go we felt this way but still I will try to explain you : We took the metro and got down at Gupabal line 3 (구바발) and then took the bus, I don't know wich line it was but if you don't read or speak korean you'll get lost in 3 seconds because there are only ajummas and ajeosshi who don't speak english LOL ^^ 

And when you hear the right station you go down by pushing a button, DO NOT MISS THE STOP ! Or else it'll get harder to find it. 

Then we walked until we found the beginning of the walk (of the mountain of course) and before we got through a little village with really nice and lovely people.
At the beginning of the walk there are lots of shops for hiking in the mountains. At first we were like dumb foreigners and asking to ourselves : why are they wearing mountains clothes and accessories because the road is perfect and it is made of concrete ?! And then when this road end we knew that we should have worn some better shoes and clothes because this was where the expedition started! ^^

 The road before and us being like :"we are so intelligent to have come with only city shoes, because the road is so easy !"

The road after and us being like :"Oh s**t we should have brought some stuffs for mountain ! OMG my feet are hurting so bad !" 

It was really hot and tiring because we were climbing like crazy, all the koreans were having their picnic and sometimes the radio with them. And you know what the most amazing thing is that even though they picnic in the nature on the mountains there is NO and like really NO waste left behind them ! And that is just like WOW for us because in France the nature is so dirty compared to the one in Korea !^^

 Some statue for prayers, my dad told me that on the statue on the left there was a part where it was written "...man" and on the other one "...woman". It's in Chinese.

 Me, trying to climb the mountain and to keep my breath ! ^^ I was feeling so good at this time. I couldn't think of anything except from walking and not stoping :) 

 People were having a picnic and when they left there weren't any leftovers ! 

When we got half way up of the mountain it started to rain (2 hours of walk) so we decided to go back but the road was really slippery and it was raining like crazy so as we were going back we were totally wet. But still it was a great walk and really beautiful and the people speak more freely to each other, they even went to see us to try to speak with us ! Isn't it cute ? :)

 When it starts raining, the landscape became like that, it was like being in a dream or in an unreal land :)

When we finally arrived at the end of our walk we took a taxi so that it can take us directly to the metro station and I gotta tell you it was way much more easier ! So instead of the bus take the taxi :)

And we went back to our hotel to rest because we were litterally dead ! 

After a good nap and a good shower we decided to go to the Namsan Seoul Tower. Even tough it was still rainy we wanted to see the beautiful Seoul in a diferent way so we took the metro (again ^^) and we went to the Namsan tower under the rain again.

After having such a happy and tiring day we went back to our hotel with lots of different beautiful views of Seoul (the nature from the mountain and the new & wide Seoul from the N Seoul Tower).

It was still raining when we were on our way back to the hotel but the streets were still alive and crowded with people.
